Winter has never been my favorite season. This winter particularly so. I’m not good staying inside cooped up with to much time on my hands. Time has changed, spring is coming even if it is going to be freezing the next couple of nights. And plants are going on sale. My favorite time of year. Sutherlands ran their ferns for $6.99 today and Yeagers had their hanging baskets for $5.99. Invested in some of those for the rent house. Starting to make
The back yard look a little warmer and not so bland.
Also spent time today exercising. I’m still pretty limited on the leg workouts I can do but my dress for the wedding is sleeveless so I need some major work on my arms in the next few months. Actually did various reps 3 different times today. For a 43 year old I hope to not look my age at the wedding. I’m choosing to work with what I can until my leg heals. Today the knee is better than yesterday and back to about where it was before the shot. I’ll call Monday if there is no difference to see if I need to wait the 4 weeks to come back in before moving to the next step. At least a few of the side effects have leveled off today. Still taking meds for the migraine that I can’t quite shake but I haven’t felt as bad today.
Went out for a nice dinner with Jimmie and then back home. We met a nice family eating at the Hibachi grill with us and their daughter was celebrating her 12th birthday. She was super friendly and talkative and somehow it got around to us having 4 boys and she asked their ages. So I Listed them as 32, 22, 20 and 17. She asked if the 17 year old lived with us. I paused and then told her yes. It was one of the first times someone has asked me a specific question that I knew it was better to tell the truth as it use to be and not as it is now. She was a super polite child who for all her 12 years had great manners even going so far as to introduce herself and ask our names. You could tell she was one who never met a stranger. It was an enjoyable dinner and great to see their are still children being raised with good manners and speaking skills.
We’ve been running most of the day and are ready for some quiet time with the dogs. They are really enjoying the spring weather especially now that it’s not raining. Can’t wait for the freezing spells to be behind us and spring to get going on full force. I hope each of you were able to have some enjoyable time today doing something that you love.
And Happy Birthday to the best mother-in-law ever!!!
