I always try to let our employees know they are important and we couldn’t do it without them, because we can’t. In a small office sometimes things come up where we have to switch people around a little. And I feel our staff is the best at doing whatever is needed. Today was one of those days. With the holiday today and school out we had a few employees off. Then due to other unplanned things a couple more were out. We covered for each other and kept it flowing.
Normally I may be the office manager but today I was the operator/charge entry/office manager. Then we had one of our roomers who is our back up X-ray tech. Today she was a roomer/X-ray/phone person. Our nurse was a nurse/lab tech. A part time employee rearranged her schedule to help us out. everyone stepped up and did extra. We helped everyone that needed helped and we did a pretty good job of it if I can say so myself.
So to all our staff, know that you are appreciated and you do a wonderful job everyday. You work together as a team and you never say “that’s not my job”. Thank you for always caring about our patients and putting them first. It’s rare that we have these unexpected days but when it happens we work with the best group to pull together and make it happen. Happy Monday!
